Among us developers Victoria Tran and Adriel Wallick took to Twitter after Fortnite announced a brand new, very familiar Impostors game mode.
Fortnite just released a brand new game mode he calls ‘Impostors’. Its main objective is quite familiar: Those in a group of up to ten agents are tasked with finding out who among them is an impostor. Meanwhile, the impostor’s job is to kill enough agents to take control of the bridge without being discovered.
Seems familiar? Among us developers Victoria Tran and Adriel Wallick certainly thought so when they took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Tran in particular has expressed both his sadness and disappointment in his own tweets, even suggesting that “It would have been really, really cool to collaborate” with Fortnite himself. An idea that would have been really interesting to see and good publicity for both games.
Tran went on to note that the game mechanics of Among us ” should not be porter” given its own similarities to the board game Mafia (otherwise known as the werewolf). However, she has always maintained that Fortnite Should have at least tried to make the game mode more unique – or even call it something other than Impostors.
like game mechanics though, these shouldn’t be kept, but at the very least even different themes or terminology make things more interesting? ??

On his own account, Wallick mentioned “to feel quite disappointed” after hearing the news. In the same tweet, she went on to point out how small the incident had made her feel.
Rather than expressing her opinions on the situation beyond, she chose to share a web comic, plus a few emojis showing his frustration. His post seems to imply that by fortnite Impostors mode looked like plagiarism.
Anyway – I just feel pretty disappointed today.
Everything in the world was already feeling overwhelming, so this was just another fun reminder of how little we are.
